What better way than around good food? This weekly breakfast is free of charge but we ask that you bring a food item to share (we strongly encourage you to visit Standard Baking on Commercial St. in Portland).

Spring Open House at The Language Exchange

An all-day event April 18 from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. Stop by anytime during the day with questions and get a taste of what we do. Roundtables scheduled throughout the day in several languages will encourage you to participate and enjoy convesarsations in French, German, Italian, Spanish and more. Meet our instructors and others who share a passion for language. You will be able to sign up for classes at the event, and if you drop off your business card by 6:00, you will be entered to win a class!
7:30-9:30 am - our Petit dejeuner extended to 2 hours!
12:00 pm-1:00pm Brown Bag Lunch and French conversations (please bring your own lunch)
5:00 pm-6:00 pm - Spanish Roundtable

Mansion as Muse:Contemporary Art at Victoria Mansion

Victoria Mansion is pleased to announce Mansion as Muse: Contemporary Art at Victoria Mansion, an exhibit of contemporary art opening April 3. The Mansion’s spectacular collections and interiors, more than ninety percent intact from 1860, have provided inspiration for new works by nationally recognized artists. Installations by Mark Dion and Dana Sherwood, Justin Richel, Amy Yoes, and Andrew Mowbray will be on display from April 3 through mid- May 2014. 

The Mansion will be open for free flow tours April 3 - April 27, Thursday – Sunday, 11:00 am- 4:30 pm. Admission may be purchased at the front door.   

From May 1 through mid-May, the exhibit may be experienced as part of a guided tour. Tickets may be purchased in the Carriage House Museum Shop, Monday - Saturday 10:00 am - 3:45 pm, Sunday 1:00 - 4:45 pm. 

Admission rates:
Adults - $15
Seniors & AAA Members - $13.50
College Students (with ID) - $7.00
Children 6-17 - $5
Children Under 6 - Free

Play Me a Story! – Read Local!

Come join us as professional actors bring to life children's tales
from some of our favorite local authors!
After, our small actors in the audience will take part in a fun, interactive workshop!

April dates are April 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.

Play Me a Story runs each Saturday morning from 10:30-11:45PM.
Cost is $50 for April or $15 per session. Geared toward kids ages 4-10.
