Come One, come All, to engage in the alchemical process of writing songs.
Collaboratively and individually we’ll explore our surroundings through all our senses, and distill our experiences into verse and chorus. A guest songwriter/musician will join us for a special session on Saturday, February 4th. Performers and non-performers are welcome, as well as interest in all genres of music. No experience necessary, only enthusiasm!

Flatbread Pizza Company to host benefit night for Pine Tree Society

Flatbread Pizza Company will host a Benefit Night in support of Pine Tree Society on February 21 from 5 to 9 p.m. at their 72 Commercial Street location. Between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., Flatbread will donate a portion of all pizza sales to Pine Tree Society, an organization that has been transforming the lives of Maine children and adults with disabilities and their families since 1936.

All proceeds will directly support Pine Tree Society’s full range of programs and services designed to help people with disabilities lead richer, more socially connected lives while breaking down barriers to independence.

Public Parks: Care and Cultivation of Fort Williams Park, Cape Elizabeth

A panel discussion led by Terrence DeWan, landscape architect, about the future of one of greater Portland's signature park, one of the most photographed and heavily visited in the area. The panel will address the challenges of creating a new arboretum, maintaining the ruin of the Goddard Mansion, and keeping public access free for individual visitors. Co-sponsored by Greater Portland Landmarks and the Maine Historical Society.
