Getting Around
Portland is easily accessible from I-295, and offers various modes of transportation including buses, taxi and ferry services. The city is perfect for walking to enjoy the historic buildings, water views and working waterfront.
Below are directions to find the two major sections of our city by car. Portland offers METRO Bus services, free parking programs, garages and metered parking options. As the second most bike friendly town, there are many bike racks and paths to enjoy, as well as motorcycle parking. Get out on the water to enjoy Casco Bay on our ferries and tours!
The two major sections of Portland are Arts District covering most of Upper Congress Street to the West End and the Old Port, located along the cobblestone streets, fishing piers and waterfront streets. We have included maps to these two areas of town.
Arts District
