Brian Shankar Adler Quartet | Dimensions in Jazz
Location: 28 Neal Street, Portland, Maine 04102, US
8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Award-winning percussionist and composer, Brian Shankar Adler presents a new program of electro-acoustic music for improvisers.

Adler has been described as: “a polyrhythmic force… New York City gritty yet still somehow capable of evoking the delicacy of a summer breeze…” by Brad Cohan, JazzTimes.

His recent project, Fourth Dimension won best music video at Transcinema International Film Festival in Peru and at the 2020 Independent Music Awards.

Trumpet player Matt Holman (Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society), keyboardist Mike Effenberger (Weird Turned Pro) and bassist Fernando Huergo (Guillermo Klein) join Adler for an adventurous, genre-bending performance.

There will be a free workshop on Saturday, March 5th 4:00pm at the Portland Conservatory of Music. This workshop is free and open to the public.

Doors open at 7:30 pm | Show starts at 8:00 pm.
