Bored At Midnight Productions is proud to present the northeast premiere of War Paint at PortFringe 2019!
Combining autobiography with storytelling, international Fringe artist Lily E. Garnett dons her “war-paint” to explore self-image, social conditioning, beauty standards, and how society values people, particularly women. It’s going to take her over an hour to get herself ready for this show…Except it’s not.
“Garnett’s brave effort to be an “authentic mess” onstage makes her a compelling new voice worth listening to, with or without her lipstick.” -Orlando Weekly
“While the audience is not always sure about what the enemy is that we’re being trained to fight, it ultimately does not matter. The voices surrounding us, including the ones in our heads, are enemy enough. And Garnett, a skilled actor, makes those voices very real.” -Orlando Sentinel
War Paint is written and performed by Lily E. Garnett. Direction is by Rebekah Lane. It is produced by Bored at Midnight Productions and Sound Design is by Kevin G. Becker.
Tickets can be purchased at portfringe.com. There is no late entry.
