David Wood: Our 2017 Best Overall Winner

Ready to be dazzled? This holiday season, businesses all over downtown Portland will decorate their windows with spectacular, eye-popping displays for all to enjoy. The gorgeous creations will delight thousands of residents and visitors who can vote for their favorite beginning Nov. 23rd — the night of the Monument Square Tree Lighting. Ballot boxes can be found at each participating location — so voting is a breeze!

Can’t make it downtown to see the windows in person? No sweat: we’ll also post a Photo Galley on our Facebook event page. The photo/business with the most “likes” by noon on Wednesday, Dec. 12th will be declared our “Social Media Choice.”

In addition to the People’s Choice, our official Judges Panel will select winners in four categories: Best Overall, Best Use of Product or Merchandise, Best Theme, and Most Original. The winning businesses will receive fabulous advertising packages from Portland Press Herald and Visit Portland — not to mention bragging rights!

Event Schedule

September 1 Registration opens. All downtown businesses are welcome to participate.
November 1 Registration closes.
November 23 All displays must be ready. Community voting begins.
December 12 Judges view all displays and select winners. Community voting ends.
December 15 Winners announced!
